During a Trip
-
Contact us for assistance in any emergency situation. Our assistance coordinators are available anywhere in the world to help you. You may speak to them in English 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
-
For cases of health problems an experienced medical doctor is ready to help you solve unpleasant situations over the phone.
-
In case of hospitalization you are obliged to inform Assistance immediately!
-
Check your luggage carefully when receiving it from a carrier, and file a complaint at the counter "Baggage Claims" within the airport area immediately.
-
When travelling by plane take your valuables and fragile items (e.g. camera, laptop, jewellery, money, medication etc.) with you on board into the cabin. Always lock your luggage or make it difficult by mechanical means to access its content.
-
When travelling by car put all your personal belongings into the luggage compartment. Things left in a car, although covered, attract the attention of thieves.
-
At the hotel hide your valuables, larger sums of money, jewellery, documents etc. into a hotel safe.
-
In developing countries avoid using tap water, ice cubes, local dairy products and street food. Brush your teeth in clean bottled water and do not swallow water when taking a shower.
-
Under no circumstance hand over your passport despite being called upon to do it.
-
In the event of loss of your documents or any other serious events you may seek help at our representative abroad. You should obtain the phone number and the contact address with our Assistance.
